PLACES The known world.
Nintendo HQ: A strange building that hosted the Smash Tourney, a multiversal brawl to determine the greatest fighter ever. When the tourney has been stopped rudely by a demon force, it was used as a headquarters for the resistance against Alastor, but it now has swapped sides on the celestial plane. The new enemy is the stars in the sky and the dwellers in Heaven...But the fighting spirit remains in this faded place.
Mushroom Kingdom "Nightshade Town": A castle town that was teleported to this dimension so that people from its world could participate in the Smash Tourney. Such greats as Mario and Bowser came from here to do battle. Recently came under the rule of Metatron, and is now being called Nightshade Town. If you want to see a whole bunch of sad sad Toads, go on in through the dark gates. Just don't expect to come back out. Pre-apocolypse, it's main export was, of course, mushrooms. Mushroom everything. Seriously.
The Mushroom Kingdom was recently liberated from Metatron's rule, and is currently rebuilding.
"Nonomer Town": A nondescript castle town that is now presided by Gabriel. Chief export pre-Apocolypse was fine and varied weaponry and armor, and also finely written spellbooks.
Hyrule Castle town "Michaelsville": Another castletown found in Hyrule and home to Princess Zelda. It is a center of commerce, which has slowed since it was transported to this dimension. Such greats as Ganondorf and Link have come from here to do battle. Recently came under the rule of Michael, and is being called Michaelsville. Once a proud castle town, it's just another sad example of the cruelty of those that dwell above. The chief export of Hyrule pre-apocolypse was magical items like potions and bottled fairies, and high quality hand-made crafts such as bottles and shields.
Hyrule was freed from Michael some time ago, and is mostly rebuilt as of now.
Pop Star: A tiny world with a small population of diminuative people. Due to its size, the entire planet was moved to this dimension. Despite the simple lifestyle of its people, magic and technology is surprisingly advanced. Such greats as Kirby and King Dedede have come from here to do battle. No one seems to know exactly where it went, other than King Dedede and the forces that came from it. And they're not talking... Pre-invasion, it's chief export was fine culinary products and high quality though tiny machinery and arms. A PopStarian laptop is all the rage among hip rich people.
Dracula's Castle: This is a mysterious castle that fell from the sky northeast of Smash HQ. It contains many dark and sinister but somehow extremely friendly monsters of hell. Odd place to visit, to be sure. Has disappeared, just like Pop Star. Before it was wiped off the map, it dealt in spooky, macabre things like Zombie Legs and baby Cerberi that were cult hits among those that could afford them. Or bare the frightening negotiation conditions.
Sea of Tranquility: A huge sea of crystaline, calm waters that suddenly appeared after the Armageddon. Sometimes called the Sea of Mercy, because the Dark Father and his forces seem unable to go near it.
Bahamut's Garden: High above the earth, there lies a magical land, the residing place of Bahamut, and the sanctum of dragons of all kinds. All of them know of this place, and even those not connected to this realm can get there if they wish. It is a paradise of untainted wilds, full of fine game and even finer fruits of nature. Watch out for Dragoombas! It resides now not in the proud traitorous sky, but floating peacefully in the Sea of Mercy, untouched by the darkness all around. The chief export of Bahamut's Garden was nothing pre-Apocolypse, because few know it even exists.
Chilly Village Valley: Nestled neatly into a valley in the Cold Place, this warmhearted island town is full of penguins and other such cool beings. They're a bit secretive, and aren't very friendly towards strangers since the Invasions started occuring, but they warm up to you quickly if you can prove you're not evil. They're excellent judges of character. CVV's chief export was Ice Sculptures and Ice Cream, before the world went to hell in a handbasket. They still maintain marginally successful trade with their sister city, Basking Hamlet Hills.
Basking Hamlet Hills: The exact opposite of Chilly Villy in nearly every respect possible, this city sits atop hills that rise from magma flows, and is the capital of the sprawling country that takes up nearly the entire continent it's on. The people are friendly and industrious, though the Marquess (the ruler) is less so, not violently against foreigners, but definately unhelpful. But it's not hard to really warm up to this beautiful place, you know? BHHs chief exports include weaponry, lava crafts, and spicy food, and it maintains a healthy economy.
Monfad: A massive city inhabited by monsters of all kinds, strictly monitored by The Government. Though the Governments actions are omnipresent and it's support of those that live under it's rule absolute, it's remarkably difficult to find the actual runners of it, and even more difficult to find any signs of oppresion. It's a perfectly free oligarchy. If only that were the only bizarre thing about this gigantic metropolis. Monfad is a completely self-sustaining economy, and until recently was unknown to the world. Even now, there is very little formal contact between it and the rest of the world.
Lye Senz: A sprawling town rivalling Monfad in size, military might, and sheer variety. The town is split across the middle into North and South, the latter dominated by dark beings, and the former inhabited by nothing but heroes. Like Monfad, each half is further divided into districts, but unlike Monfad, the government is nearly nonexistant. Ironically, it is much stronger in the South. Most of the politics occur between the rulers of Disney Castle and Castle O, King Mickey of the North, and Lord Xehanort of the South. An unusual sort of almost-peace exists between these two factions, who have come to view their own struggles as somewhat a game they play between struggles with the truer evil at work.
Don't try to understand it. Your head will pop.
Lye Senz is another self sustaining economy, which is strange since no one seems to actively produce anything. This may be because of the unnaturally bountiful continent it exists on. There is no trade, but the North sector always seems more than happy to lend assistance to those who need it, free.
Heaven: The place where angels reside...But angels aren't as nice as you might think. This is the base of operations for the one who calls himself God, the current enemy of all that lives... If only someone could find the damn thing.
