If your feelings range from Extremely Important to Extremely Unimportant, but you select Other for some reason, put at the top of your post in big letters which matches yours feelings best before explaining why you chose Other in the end.

If a character is vehicle-based, then they are never really going to fight outside of it barring extenuating circumstances. Therefore, their sheet should be based off the idea that they are already in their vehicle, and perhaps disallowing certain bonuses, such as racial or some powerful attacks when they can't use it (IE: Gundams, Vile in his Ride Armor, Star Wars fighter pilots, whatever)
In the case of mounts, it could be simplified by just giving buffs to the mounted character depending on their riding proficiency. Keep it simple, sexyfox. (KISS)

Vehicles should just be considered an armor + weapon rolled into one.

Vehicles should just be considered an armor + weapon rolled into one. I suppose it would depend on the build/style of the vehicle. A vehicle could in many ways, be tweaked and fitted to match the needs of its user.
