Item Creation is a fun business. It allows you to make special and unique things, but it can be very expensive and hard to do. Heres a list of things you'll need to do it:
- You must be in a workshop with the right equipment
- You must have at least 1 point in the item creation you wish to attempt. The higher your skill, the more often it works.
- You need the proper tools and materials
- And finally, you need enough Gil to pay for the attempt.
----------
STARTING/MAX SKILL LEVELS IN ITEM CREATION
You get 10 Levels to start out with, which you can give to any skills you want. After that, however, you must buy new levels for whatever their cost is. You get Skill Points when you level up, and under certain other circumstances.
The max skill in item creation is determined by your world of origin. Residents of the slightly primitive Hyrule naturally would not be able to effectively create machinery...On the flip side, those from the scientific universe of Metroid would be lacking in the are of Alchemy.. To exeed your max skill level, you must be tutored by one from another world with more experience in the matters.
The types of item creation are as follows:
Machinery - Creation of machines
Smithery - Creation of weapons and armor through metal
forging
Compounding: Creation of medicine
Crafting - Creation of accessories and baubles.
Alchemy - Creation of special metals
Writing - Ability to put concepts and feelings into words
Fusion/Defusion - The fusion of any two items. Or the unfusion of any one item into seperate components...Always works, but is very expensive.
Cooking - The making of yummy and sometimes very useful items through culinary talent.
Spellcraft - Imbuing items with magical power, and creation of new spells.
