Popeye
First appeared in the comic strip: "Thimble theater" on January 17, 1929
Age: 34 years old
156 lbs
5' 6"
He's strong to the finish cause he eats his spinach; he's Popeye the sailor man! Popeye is a middle aged, good natured sailor who loves spinach,is loyal, and has an absolute belief in right and wrong. He isn't as dignified or cultures as most, and doesn't seem to have quite a handle on the english language. He has massive forearms with anchor tattoos on each one. His girlfriend is Olive Oyl and he will risk life and limb to save her; Don't cross him or you might get a spinach powered punch to the face!
He was born in a typhoon off the coast of Santa Monica California. He lost his eye in "The mos' arful battle" of his life. (That's about all that I could find on him.... He is a cartoon character after all...)
Hates: Bluto horning in on his girl
Loves: Spinach and Olive Oyl (In that order)
Wants: To be with Olive Oyl and have a nice family
Class: Sailor
Level: 11

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hero Ability - Strong to the Finish: Popeye has a curious affinity for vegetables, spinach in particular. The effects of any vegetable type item are doubled, tripled if the vegetable in question is spinach-like. If it has Spinach right in the name or description, effect is quadrupled and it causes an... Interesting reaction, detailed below. This effect can only be used once per mission, but the above work endlessly.
For exactly next round, Popeye gains instant Priority on all attacks and his Combo level is doubled. Any healing or bonuses the spinach caused are copied onto his Strength stat (with a cap of *1.5 his normal, unless said vegetable Doubles or Maxes another stat).
By Exhausting himself to preform a special attack, Popeye can end this effect early in order to double all effects (excluding damage from base stat) of that attack, plus an additional effect at the GM's discretion (IE: Knocking the foe into a tree so hard that it ends up wrapped around them). This effect can be purely cosmetic or devastating depending on the GM's mood and the creativity of the attack.
Racial Ability - Sailor Man: Despite his questionable general intelligence, Popeye is a more than competent sailor. Any boat he's actively commanding or sailing moves one Unit faster per day than normal and gains either a tolerance or outright immunity to negative effects of weather, and his Accuracy is doubled for purposes of scouting things out from a Crows Nest.
Slot one:
Unarmed proficiency
Slot two:
Uppercut - After a three turn wind up, unleash a heroic hay-maker style uppercut. Deals normal unarmed damage, but the normal Stun chance doubles as a Knock Up chance.
Slot three:
Corncob Pipe proficiency
swim lvl 1
Slot four:
Swim lvl 2
Run lvl 1
Slot five:
Climb lvl 1
Swim lvl 3
STUFF:
Heroism: A blue crystal that contains the spirit of the hero, so great that the world bends to make way for their splendor. It can be activated without Act at any time, and a list of effects will be provided. This list changes depending on the current situation, so don't just use it willy nilly! Once used, the Heroism loses it's glow and must be recharged.
Fusionist Handbook: A book detailing the process of the lost Item Creation art, Fusion.
Pandora's Box: A mysterious black cube used in the art of Fusion.
G Token: A black token engraved with a faint image of a foxes face. Mysterious power can be evoked during frustrating Item Creation attempts.
Weapons:
Corncob pipe:
A trademark item of Popeye, it can shoot a small blast of burning tobacco or any other projectiles loaded into it. It can hit things within a couple inches of Popeye's face, it never goes out, and never seems to run out of tobacco.....
Doesn't take up a hand slot, but has poor range and is hard to aim if the user has his arms tied for whatever reason (Accuracy halved in these cases). Items can also be loaded into it and fired, allowing the use of that item while otherwise disabled, or allowing a projectile weapon to be fired with the average of the user's Pwr and SPwr and the weapon's own damage behind it.
+12 FIRE damage, uses average of Pwr and SPwr vs SDef.
