ALL monsters use your Act
ALL monsters have the same HP as you, and the same MP if applicable.
Duel Monsters can only attack once per round, but they have infinite MP for specials (they only use MP to use Magic and Trap cards). You can also use ANY equip on them, up to five, and it will ALWAYS affect them (IE, if Dark Magician is equipped with a sword, it's bonus will stack on his Dark Magic Attack). No items can be used on them, though, except for cards. Any number of cards or equips can be used on them or taken off per turn, and equipment can be swapped easily for just 1 Act.
The following are recieving Duel Monster partners with which to fight in the realm of Monfad:
Sora, Gus, Hotohemai, and Mystic
ALL recieve the following Booster Pack, plus one special card, as detailed below the monster's attacks.
Ookazi: An extremely damaging fire attack directed at a single enemy. +50 damage. 10 MP.
My Body As A Shield: Switch places with your monster for one attack. You take full damage, as if you had failed a dodge. Be careful not to die using this card, because your monster won't be able to do much of anything without a master. 5 MP set cost, 10 MP activation cost.
Reliable Guardian: Increase your monster's Defense and Special Defense by 30. Lasts one round. 15 MP.
Reinforcements: Increase your monster's Power and SPower by 30. Lasts one round. 15 MP.
Mirror Wall: Redirect an incoming attack to three enemies as splash damage. 15 MP set cost, 10 MP activation cost.
Reigeki: An incredibly dangerous lightning attack that targets all enemies on the field with splash damage! +50 damage. 30 MP.
Bottomless Trap Hole: Destroy any appearing monster that has more than 175 total stat points (Basically, Greatergoyles =p). 10 MP set cost, 15 MP activation cost.
Brain Stealer: Control an enemy for one of their turns. 20 MP cost.
